Speaker Bio
Godard Abel is a proven entrepreneur with a love for the “grind” of running startups. The MIT (Engineering – BS, MS) and Stanford (MBA) alum has grown some of the most eminent brands in the industry, including BigMachines and Steelbrick. During his eleven years with BigMachines, Godard took the startup and transformed it into the leading SaaS CPQ company. The company’s success eventually led to its acquisition by Oracle for over $400 million in 2013. Following the acquisition, Godard returned to the Quote to Cash space with SteelBrick, a native Salesforce application targeting mid-market and SMB companies. With Godard’s expertise, SteelBrick grew from “5 to 200 employees and increased bookings by 37x in less than 2 years.” Steelbrick was acquired by Salesforce in 2016 for $360 million. Godard is currently guiding his third startup, G2 Crowd, the top customer review platform for business software.
